Everything is spatial. Spatial is everything.

The study of Geographic Information Science is a way of looking at the world as a network, connected by space and time. GIS is a powerful tool which applies the science of Geography to draw connections, analyze patterns, and solve problems. Click here to see my portfolio.

As a current Master of Geographic Information Science student at the University of Minnesota I study how to use geospatial analysis to develop innovative approaches to complicated systems, create flexible solutions to complex problems, and develop equitable approaches to a sustainable, liveable future. Check out my CV here.

Determination

Recently, my father and I completed a through-hike of all 2,200 miles of the Appalachian Trail.
We encountered many US Geological Survey markers on the trail over our six month walk in the
woods, and I became inspired by the story this string of points told. Planted on peak after peak from Georgia to Maine they told a story in which analysis and data are used to forge connections, draw divisions, expose patterns and sculpt our environment. It’s the story of how we
interact with the land. This is my root story with GIS.
